Funding Available for Watershed-based Plans!

Every other year, DES issues a request for proposals to the 9 Regional Planning Commissions and the Connecticut River Joint Commission for water quality planning funds provided under Section 604(b) of the Clean Water Act.

The top priority for funding is development of watershed-based plans that meet EPA criteria (and are pre-requisite to obtaining Section 319 funding for implementation).

If you’re watershed organization is looking for assistance in developing a watershed based plan, contact your Regional Planning Commission to see if they are interested in working with you to develop your plan.  See the map at  http://www.nh.gov/oep/planning/services/gis/documents/map-municipal-rpc.pdf to find out which planning commission covers your area.

Planning Commissions are asked to submit letters of intent to apply for 604(b) funds by June 13.  See 2015-2016 604(b ) Letter of Intent for more details.
