The New England Stormwater Collaborative Looking for Stormy Award Nominees

Submit Your Idea for the 2016 New England Stormy Awards – Recognizing New England’s Best Stormwater Work!

The New England Stormwater Collaborative is recognizing simple, imaginative, unique and inventive ways that are increasing employee capacity, funding or political support for stormwater management programs.

Tell us how your community is improving its ability to deliver stormwater management services and you could win a 2016 – Stormy Award!

  • The best ideas submitted will be featured on the Collaborative’s webpage and in our organization’s publications.
  • The Top Three Ideas will be featured in a special awards session at the 2017 New England Chapter – American Public Works Association Summer Conference.
  • The Top Three Idea winners will receive complimentary registration to the conference.

Ideas will be judged based on how effectively they increased funding, efficiency, staff capacity, and/or political support; their relevance and transferability to other communities and utilities; and their simplicity/resourcefulness.

The competition is open to all clever ideas from EPA Region 1 and no idea is too big or too small. If you’re not sure that your idea qualifies, or if you can’t come to the award session, please submit your idea so we can share them with others looking for creative solutions.

Get more information here and submit your best idea. The submission form is short and easy to fill out and submitters do not have to write a paper, but winners will be invited to give a short presentation at the award session in June, 2017. The submission period is open until February 28, 2017. Winners will be announced in April, 2017.

Last year’s winners are here.
