Education Program Assistant Position Opening with NH LAKES

The New Hampshire Lakes Association (NH LAKES) is looking for an individual experienced in the management and implementation of a community-based environmental education/outreach program to join its team as the Education Program Assistant!

The Education Program Assistant is responsible for assisting with the management of the Lake Host Program, a statewide courtesy boat inspection program designed to teach boaters how to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species.

Through this program, during summer 2014, 750 trained Lake Hosts working with 82 local groups at 102 of the most highly-used boat ramps throughout the state, conducted 83,663 courtesy boat inspections and captured 58 fragments of aquatic invasive species that were about to enter or had just left a waterbody!

This is a 6-month temporary position, part-time (24 hours/week) scheduled to begin in late-April and extend through late-October 2015, compensated in the range of $12 – $15/hour (based on experience and qualifications). Statutory benefits only apply to this position.

The position is stationed in the NH LAKES office in Concord with some statewide travel. Employee must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable automobile.

This is anticipated to be an annually reoccurring position.
