UNH Cooperative Extension Brochure Advises How to Have – Green Grass & Clear Water!

We just added a few new resources to this post.

This is an awesome new resource!   Please check it out.

UNH Cooperative Extension and NH Sea Grant have a new information sheet Green Grass & Clear Water: Environmentally friendly lawn care recommendations for northern New England.    The background information and recommendations are based on sound turf and water quality science and the messages incorporate lawn care behavior social science research (For summary on social science research see: Executive Summary and Recommendations – Lawn Survey Research  and for the full report see: USDA CSREES Lawn Project – Social Science Summary Report ).   From choosing the right grass seed to knowing where and when to apply fertilizer – if you use fertilizer – this brochure will help your audience understand how to have a healthy lawn while reducing water quality impacts from fertilizer.
