Results of Saint-Gobain, October 2018, on-site groundwater samples

Saint-Gobain submitted the first of several rounds of sample data collected as part the on-site investigation. Unvalidated laboratory analytical results of water samples collected from eight temporary monitoring wells (TMWs) in October 2018 can be viewed here:

These data will be compiled in a report that will be submitted by Saint-Gobain’s consultant (tentatively scheduled for March 2019). Additional soil and groundwater sample results will be included in this report.

Highlights of the groundwater analytical results from the samples include:

  • PFOA was detected at concentrations up to 5,100 nanograms per liter (ng/L), and PFOS was detected at concentrations up to 1,300 ng/L.
  • HFPODA (“Gen X”) was detected in groundwater samples collected from two locations, at concentrations up to 3.5 ng/L.
  • Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were not detected.
  • Semivolatile organic compounds (SVOCs) were detected in one groundwater sample at concentrations below ambient groundwater quality standards.
