Join EPA for the upcoming webcast Growing a Green Infrastructure Workforce, where speakers from across the country will discuss planning considerations and practices for developing green workforce programs, benefits of being a certified professional, and existing maintenance training and workforce development programs.
All stormwater infrastructure projects, including green infrastructure, must be maintained over time to ensure proper performance. The ongoing maintenance of green infrastructure is an opportunity to create entry-level jobs in the water sector, particularly in under resourced communities. Join EPA’s Green Infrastructure Webcast Series to discuss planning considerations and practices for developing and implementing green workforce development programs. Rob Anderson and Daniel Apt from the National Green Infrastructure Certification Program (NGCIP) will speak about the benefits of being a certified professional; Emily Burton, Operation Storm Surge, will present on unique partnership opportunities to train and build a local workforce; and, Gabe Catenacci, Groundwork Denver’s GRIT Program, will highlight maintenance training and green workforce development programs across the country.
