Modeling help for 319 projects & more is on the way!!

Several participants at the 2010 Watershed Managers’ Roundtable had questions and concerns about the pollutant load reduction modeling requirements for 319 grants. In response to your concerns, the DES Watershed Assistance Section will host a workshop on pollutant load reduction modeling! The workshop will cover various model types used for 319 projects (Region 5, Simple Method, etc.), and will include a discussion of how to select the most appropriate model for your project. We will also provide training in a new model we are developing to help estimate BMP load reductions for residential development. We hope to hold the workshop in late 2011 or early in the winter of 2012. So stay tuned…help is on the way!
