Septic System Pollution WebinarLeachfield2

On June 30 at 2 – 3 p.m. Eastern, U.S. EPA will hold a webinar on the biological and microbial aspects of septic system pollution. The first of two presentations will discuss a demonstration project on how advanced wastewater treatment technologies combined with drip dispersal of the treated effluent can be used as a solution to wastewater treatment problems in difficult site conditions. A second presentation will review the microbial composition of septic waste, demonstrate how technology and data can be used to identify fecal pollution from failing septic systems in receiving waters, and provide an overview of current related EPA research. This webinar is part of the “Challenges and Treatment Solutions for Small Drinking Water and Wastewater Systems” series. To register for the webinar or learn more about the series, click here.
