RMAC Meeting Documents:
SLR 16-006 Canaan, VT – CORD is considering a proposed SLR from DRED to dispose of a 20′ wide underground water line utility easement along 5,600 linear feet of the North Stratford-Beecher Falls Rail Trail between Canaan and Beecher Falls, VT. RMAC leadership has proposed a categorical exclusion for this disposal as the impact of this proposal as a ROW easement appears not to impinge on any other uses of this property by the public , or have long term ecological impacts. RMAC leadership has proposed conditioning its response with 1) ROW easement granted has no rights to permanently impinge on use of the ROW as either a recreation trail or future rail or other transportation purpose in the future, and 2) that all construction would use appropriate BMPs to avoid any threat to water quality. Comments due Sept. 30th!
